Mad Apple is Cirque du Soleil’s most radical departure from the traditional Cirque formula — a New York City nightlife-themed show that blends acrobatics, live music, dance, magic, and stand-up comedy in what the LA Times called “familiar and groundbreaking.” It’s the first Cirque du Soleil show ever to include stand-up comedy as part of the lineup.
The party starts 30 minutes before showtime — a bar built directly into the stage opens, the cast socializes with the audience, and guests are invited onto the stage itself. When the show starts, six acts unfold like snapshots from different corners of New York nightlife. It’s faster and more variety-show in feel than O, KÀ, or Mystère, and the adults-only format means the comedy and energy are uncensored.
