Best Comedy Shows in Las Vegas

Viva Laugh Vegas
Comedy in Las Vegas is no joke. The city that gave the world Don Rickles working the Sands in 1963 is now home to rotating standup clubs on the Strip, crowd-work veterans who’ve been doing this longer than some of their audience members have been alive, a silent comedian who gets 90 minutes of laughs out of a piece of tape and a vacuum cleaner, and a hypnotist who’s been named Stage Hypnotist of the Year. That range is the point.
This guide covers standup clubs, headliners, hypnosis, physical comedy, comedy magic, and the hard-to-categorize stuff that only exists in Las Vegas. We’ve organized them by type, so you can find the right room for your group rather than just the most famous name.
Table of Contents
First: what kind of comedy do you want?
Vegas comedy falls into a few lanes. Figure out yours and the choice gets much simpler.
- Standup clubs — rotating lineups, club format, multiple comics per show. You don’t always know exactly who you’re getting, which is part of the appeal.
- Headliner residencies — one comedian, one full set, one night. You know what you’re in for.
- Crowd work and hypnosis — the audience is the show. High-energy, completely unpredictable, different every night.
- Comedy magic — laughs and tricks in equal (or unequal) measure.
- Comedy with a theme — murder mystery, horror burlesque, Wild West variety, drag. The laughs come wrapped in something else.
- Family-friendly comedy — all ages, no adult content, safe for everyone at the table.

The standup clubs and shows
If you know comedy clubs, you know this format: a room, a stage, a mic, rotating lineups, and comics who are there to work. Las Vegas has more of these than most cities, and the quality across the board is legitimately high.
Comedy Cellar
Rio Hotel & Casino · Off the Strip · 18+ · 90 min
A faithful replica of the legendary New York club — brick walls, low ceilings, and the same intimate room energy that helped launch Dave Chappelle and countless others. The talent level is consistently high because the Cellar has the relationships to pull serious names, and the format is exactly what made the original famous. The Rio location is technically off-Strip but the short ride is always worth it. The comedy world’s version of a pilgrimage site.
Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club
MGM Grand · On the Strip · 21+ · 75–90 min
A polished, adults-only comedy room at MGM Grand with a classic club feel. Brad Garrett appears periodically but most nights feature a rotating lineup of touring acts and established comics. More refined atmosphere than the Cellar, which makes it a stronger date-night option. The 21+ policy keeps the room adult throughout.
Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club
LINQ Promenade · On the Strip · 18+ · 75–90 min
A 300-seat room on the LINQ Promenade designed and curated by Kimmel to capture the feel of classic Vegas comedy. The room itself is excellent — good sightlines, proper acoustics — and the LINQ location makes it easy to build a full evening around. Strong lineup curation, flexible timing.
Laugh Factory
Horseshoe Las Vegas · On the Strip · 18+ · 70 min
One of the most recognized comedy club brands anywhere, and the Las Vegas outpost at Horseshoe runs the same rotating format that made the original famous. Two shows nightly at 8:30pm and 10:30pm, classic structure, 70 minutes. Strip-central and easy to pair with dinner before the early show.
LA Comedy Club
The STRAT · On the Strip · 18+ · 75–90 min
Voted Best Comedy Club in Las Vegas by Las Vegas Review-Journal readers ten consecutive times, and with 21 shows a week it’s the most active comedy room in the city. Three shows daily at The STRAT means genuine flexibility — afternoon, evening, or late night. The north-Strip location is further from the main cluster but the sheer volume and variety make it worth knowing about.
Las Vegas Live Comedy Club
Planet Hollywood · On the Strip · 16+ · 75 min
A nightly 9pm standup show at the V Theater inside Miracle Mile Shops. Convenient, affordable, and easy to drop into after dinner. Lower price point than the bigger clubs with a solid rotating lineup.
Big Black Comedy Show
Planet Hollywood · On the Strip · 18+ · 60 min
A rotating lineup of Black comedians at Planet Hollywood’s V4 Theater with a free drink included with each ticket. Sixty minutes, late evening format, and one of the more affordable standup options on the Strip.
Downtown Comedy Lounge
Notoriety at Neonopolis · Off the Strip · 18+ · 75 min
Three comedians per show at Notoriety, right in the heart of the Fremont Street area. Good anchor for a downtown night — show up early for dinner, walk over to Fremont Street after. Rotating talent from American comedy circuits with a more intimate, scrappy energy than the Strip clubs.
Delirious Comedy Club
Silver Sevens · Off the Strip · NC-17 · 90 min
Headliners from Netflix, HBO, Comedy Central, and The Tonight Show in an intimate off-Strip room without Strip prices. Led by resident headliner Don Barnhart, whose own show has been a Vegas fixture for years. The NC-17 rating is real — this is the most adult-content comedy club on the list. Silver Sevens is near the Convention Center.
The headliners
These are shows where you know exactly what you’re getting — one comedian, their material, their style.
Carrot Top
Luxor · On the Strip · 16+ · 75 min
Scott Thompson has been headlining at Luxor since 2005 — one of the longest-running comedy residencies in Las Vegas history. Named Entertainer of the Year and Comedian of the Year, his show is prop comedy at a scale and pace that has redefined what prop comedy can be. High-energy, visually inventive, and built on callbacks that reward staying with it. If you’ve only seen the TV clips, the live show is a different experience.
Eddie Griffin: Live and Unleashed!
Planet Hollywood · On the Strip · 18+ · 75 min
Eddie Griffin — known for Deuce Bigalow, Undercover Brother, and Chappelle’s Show — brings his unfiltered standup to the Saxe Theater at Planet Hollywood. Raw, fast, and unapologetically adult. One of the more confrontational and energetic headliner residencies currently running.
Vinnie Favorito Unfiltered
Notoriety at Neonopolis · Off the Strip · 18+ · 90 min
Vinnie Favorito has been doing rapid-fire insult comedy in Las Vegas for over 25 years. If Don Rickles is your benchmark, this is the closest thing currently running in the city. The entire show is crowd work — no prepared material, no written set — just Vinnie reading whoever walked in that night and improvising around what he finds. The 18+ rating is enforced and accurate; the language is explicit and nobody in the room is safe. For the right group it’s one of the most memorable shows downtown.
Hypnosis comedy
Both of these shows share a core format: willing audience volunteers get hypnotized, then put through increasingly absurd scenarios. The comedy comes from the volunteers’ responses, not from prepared material. No two shows are remotely alike because the subjects dictate everything.
Marc Savard Comedy Hypnosis
Showcase Mall · On the Strip · All Ages · 70 min
Marc Savard has been headlining on the Las Vegas Strip for over 15 years, and MTV called his show “the funniest show ever.” The all-ages format makes this the more accessible hypnosis option — families, mixed-age groups, and anyone who doesn’t want an 18+ restriction can come here. Strip-central at Showcase Mall.
Steve Falcon’s Comedy Hypnosis Hour
MGM Grand · On the Strip · 16+ · 90 min
Steve Falcon’s show runs at the intimate Underground Theater inside MGM Grand — the same venue as TAPE FACE. The 16+ rating reflects the psychological content and some adult-adjacent humor that emerges naturally from the hypnosis scenarios. Two show times nightly at 8pm and 9:30pm.
Hypnosis Unleashed Starring Kevin Lepine
Four Queens · Off the Strip · 18+ · 75 min
The longest-running comedy hypnosis show in Las Vegas, and Kevin Lepine just won 2026 Stage Hypnotist of the Year. Downtown at Four Queens on Fremont Street — a scrappier, more intimate setting than the Strip venues, and a strong anchor for a downtown evening. The 18+ format means the scenarios run more adult than Marc Savard.
Comedy magic
For the comedy-magic hybrids where laughs and tricks share the stage — sometimes with laughs clearly winning.
Piff the Magic Dragon
Flamingo · On the Strip · 8+ · 75 min
The Magician of the Year winner (The Magic Castle, 2024) and multiple Best of Las Vegas winner in both magic and comedy categories. Piff is British magician John van der Put performing in a dragon suit with a Chihuahua sidekick, and the deadpan comedy is genuinely funny rather than just performer-patter funny. The magic is real and impressive; the laughs come first. Sharp, subversive, and family-appropriate.
Mac King Comedy Magic Show
Excalibur · On the Strip · 5+ · 70 min
Mac King holds a record no other Las Vegas performer can claim: the longest-running one-man show in Las Vegas history. Penn & Teller have called him “the greatest comedy magician working today.” Folksy, warm, hilariously funny for adults and kids equally, and consistently one of the best value shows on the Strip. Runs afternoons.
Nathan Burton Comedy Magic Show
Showcase Mall · On the Strip · All Ages · 70 min
Multiple America’s Got Talent appearances and voted #1 Afternoon Magic Show in Las Vegas. Big visual illusions at a rapid-fire pace, G-rated throughout, and kids 3 and under lap-sit free. One of the most reliably family-friendly shows currently running. Daily 4pm showtime with some 2pm and 6pm options.
Mike Hammer Comedy Magic
Four Queens · Off the Strip · 13+ · 70 min
Mike Hammer has been performing comedy magic in Las Vegas for over 25 years. The Las Vegas Review-Journal simply noted he gives magic “the extra dimension.” The show runs on 100% audience participation — mind reading, escape acts, improvised crowd work, and nothing scripted. Downtown at Four Queens on Fremont Street, Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Matt Donnelly the Mind Noodler
LINQ Promenade · On the Strip · 5+ · 75–90 min
Comedy-forward mind reading at The Magicians Room. The 4:30pm timing makes it a natural afternoon option — easy to slot in before dinner along the LINQ Promenade. More playful and accessible than the pure mentalism shows at the same venue.
Farrell Dillon at The Magicians Room
LINQ Promenade · On the Strip · 5+ · 75 min
Sleight of hand and genuine laughs in the intimate Magicians Room setting. Family-friendly, smaller room, strong on interactive moments. A good LINQ Promenade afternoon or early evening option.
An R Rated Magic Show
Planet Hollywood · On the Strip · 18+ · 75 min
Comedy magic for grown-ups — sleight of hand combined with intentionally crude humor in a compact 75-minute format. The adult angle is the entire point. Good for groups who want magic with an edge and a cocktail in hand.
Lioz — Comedy Magic Parody
Planet Hollywood · On the Strip · 18+ · 75 min
Lioz Shem Tov performs magic badly. That’s the joke, and with 700+ million YouTube views and multiple Got Talent appearances behind it, it works brilliantly. A deliberately absurdist magic spoof for adults who are tired of taking magic seriously.
Late Night Magic at The Magicians Room
LINQ Promenade · On the Strip · 18+ · 75–90 min
A rotating cast of four magicians doing their own specialty — sleight of hand, mentalism, sideshow, and comedy magic — in the same intimate room but after dark. More unpredictable than the individual shows, and looser in format. The 18+ rating opens the material up.
Adam London Laughternoon
Ahern Hotel · Off the Strip · All Ages · 60 min
Light magic, playful audience interaction, and genuine laughs in a 60-minute format designed for daytime audiences. Off-Strip at Ahern Hotel near the Convention Center, with one of the most affordable price points on the list. The best option when you want a short, easygoing family comedy show without going to the Strip.
Comedy with a theme
Shows where the laughs come wrapped in something else — a musical about “the change” and another about zombies, a Wild West saloon, a murder mystery, a Star Wars parody, or a burlesque tent in the Caesars parking lot.
Absinthe
Caesars Palace · On the Strip · 18+ · 80 min
Absinthe is Spiegelworld’s raucous circus-comedy show in a tent in the Caesars parking lot, hosted by the Gazillionaire. Acrobatics, aerial acts, adult comedy, and variety — chaotic, intimate, and genuinely surprising in ways that larger productions can’t replicate. Consistently one of the most talked-about shows in Las Vegas, and the reputation is earned.
Atomic Saloon Show
The Venetian · On the Strip · 18+ · 75 min
Also Spiegelworld — a raunchy Wild West comedy variety show at The Venetian with acrobatics, music, saloon-style characters, and adult humor. Same DNA as Absinthe but with a completely different aesthetic. The Venetian location puts it in the center of the Strip.
Menopause The Musical
Harrah’s · On the Strip · 12+ · 90 min
The longest-running musical in Las Vegas history — over 6,000 performances since 2006. Four women celebrate menopause with parodies of ’70s and ’80s pop hits, and the show is consistently packed with an audience that knows every word. Specific in its target audience and completely self-aware about it, which is why it works. If it’s for your group, it absolutely delivers.
Marriage Can Be Murder Dinner Show
Rio Hotel & Casino · Off the Strip · 8+ · 120 min
Las Vegas’s longest-running dinner show — over 20 years. Interactive murder mystery theater with a 4-course dinner: a murder happens at a neighboring table and you help solve it while eating. More comedy than suspense in practice, and the interactive format means every night plays differently depending on who comes on stage. Two hours including dinner at the Rio.
TAPE FACE
The Underground Theater at MGM Grand · On the Strip · All Ages · 90 min
TAPE FACE is the stage name of New Zealand comedian Sam Wills — 90 minutes of silent physical comedy, escalating prop work, and audience participation at the MGM Grand. No words, no setup-punchline structure, no safety net. He’s appeared on America’s Got Talent and toured internationally, and the Las Vegas residency is the fullest version of the format.
Zombie Burlesque
Planet Hollywood · On the Strip · 16+ · 75 min
A horror-themed burlesque comedy show built on camp, retro ’50s and ’60s music, and B-movie aesthetics. Year-round at the V3 Theater inside Miracle Mile Shops. The closest thing on the Strip to Rocky Horror — if that reference lands for you, you already know whether this is your show.
The Empire Strips Back: A Burlesque Parody
Rio Hotel & Casino · Off the Strip · 18+ · 95 min
A Star Wars-themed burlesque parody — 95 minutes of adult comedy, sci-fi satire, and costume reveals that rewards franchise fans and complete strangers to it equally. Funnier than a straight adult revue because the parody format gives it a point of view.
Puppetry of the Penis
Erotic Heritage Museum · Off the Strip · 21+ · 75 min
An Australian adult comedy show touring internationally since 1998. The premise is exactly what the name suggests, delivered with complete commitment and deadpan timing. Broadway, the West End, 30+ countries. The Jewel Box Theatre inside the Erotic Heritage Museum is small, intimate, and about a mile off the Strip. 21+ strictly enforced. The right pre-show question: does everyone in your group actually want to see this? If yes, it delivers.
ClueX
Notoriety at Neonopolis · Off the Strip · 18+ · 90 min
A murder mystery burlesque parody at Neonopolis — Clue-style whodunit framing with live music, burlesque performance, comedy, and audience participation woven through it. The interactive mystery structure gives it more going on than a pure adult revue and makes it a strong anchor for a Fremont Street evening.
Best for families
All ages, no adult content, and appropriate for younger audiences. The comedy magic shows above (Mac King, Nathan Burton, Marc Savard, Adam London, Farrell Dillon, Matt Donnelly) are all strong family options — these are the highlights.
- Best all-ages comedy, any age: TAPE FACE. No words, no adult content, and somehow funnier than most shows with both. One of the only truly all-ages comedy shows in Las Vegas.
- Best for younger kids: Popovich Comedy Pet Theater — 60 minutes of trained rescue cats, dogs, and doves with a world-class circus artist. Genuinely sweet and genuinely funny for adults too.
- Best comedy magic for families: Mac King for the longest-running record and warmest room; Nathan Burton for the biggest illusions and lowest price point; Adam London for the shortest runtime and most relaxed off-Strip setting.
- Best family hypnosis: Marc Savard — all ages, Strip-central, over 15 years running.
How to choose
- Want a real comedy club: Comedy Cellar for the legendary format and talent level; Jimmy Kimmel’s for the best room design on the Strip; LA Comedy Club for maximum flexibility and 21 shows a week.
- Want a specific headliner: Carrot Top for prop comedy done at scale; Eddie Griffin for unfiltered adult standup; Vinnie Favorito for crowd work with no script and no safety net.
- Bringing kids: TAPE FACE or Popovich for all ages. Marc Savard for all-ages hypnosis. Mac King or Nathan Burton for comedy magic.
- Want interactive: hypnosis (Marc Savard, Steve Falcon, Kevin Lepine) puts your group on stage. Vinnie Favorito puts the room on stage. Mike Hammer builds the whole show around whoever showed up.
- Want something distinctly Vegas: Absinthe. There’s nothing else like it anywhere.
- Want something downtown: Comedy Cellar at the Rio, Downtown Comedy Lounge or Vinnie Favorito at Neonopolis, Kevin Lepine or Mike Hammer at Four Queens.
One note worth making: most Vegas comedy is adult. A majority of the shows on this list are 16+, 18+, or 21+. Always check the age rating before booking, especially if you’re bringing teens. TAPE FACE and Popovich Comedy Pet Theater are the shows where age genuinely doesn’t matter.
